Hi friends! Curious to find out what I've been reading this month? Well, check out my February 2026 Book Reviews. I'm up to 6 books read this year (I know, I'm a bit behind, but I have been relatively busy with a lot of appointments). I also have this problem where I like to read multiple books at once, so March 2026 Book Reviews should be a lot longer, hehe.
And I am not sure what's going on with my Goodreads account, but it doesn't seem to be syncing with the books I've read. I've tried logging in and logging out, then restarting and unlinking and relinking. So not sure what's going on there. Hopefully, my Kindle can start syncing with the account again. If anyone knows how to fix this, let me know.

February 2026 Book Reviews
701 Life Lessons - Honerod: This book was okay. I feel a bit dumb because I thought it was going to be super profound, but a lot of the lessons were repetitive and rehashed throughout the book, so maybe it should have been called "501 lessons". There were also a lot of things I ignored because I didn't agree with them, OR I thought that the author was contradicting himself. I also don't think suggesting things like "it would help if you face your difficulties alone" is beneficial to anyone. Sometimes, we need other people's support. Humans are social creatures. Tbh, and this is going to sound very mean, but this is a coffee table gifting sorta book you get someone that you don't know that well, and I say that because it's like reading a bunch of quotes you could get anywhere. I rate this book 4.5/10.
Think Straight - Darius Foroux: I read this in a day, and I really liked it. It's short, sweet, and straight to the point. But I do feel like it could have just been a blog post. I did end up reading some of his blog after reading the book, so that's gotta stand for something. I like his attitude and advice, but I think he doesn't quite understand that some people DO need meditation or a little bit of help with their thoughts. Pragmatic thinking can be beneficial, but not always. I rate this book a 7/10. If you wanna check out one of his blog articles I enjoyed, here's his "15 Brief Tips to Instantly Improve Your Writing".
Hey Idiot!: Chronicles of Humanity - Leland Gregory: Unfortunately, I have a feeling that a lot of the material in this book was taken from elsewhere, allegedly - not necessarily plagiarised, a lot of the stuff I had just read in other books before (but hey, could be the other way around). Some of it was funny, and it gave me a bit of a laugh, like all the notes from home sections. However, I really struggled with the layout of the book, aka its lack of structure. I feel like different parts of it needed to be moved around, as it wasn't always clear which section/chapter I was reading. I also didn't expect it to be so mean, but I did see it was first published in 2003, and I think people weren't as PC back then as they are now. Humour doesn't have to be mean. I rate this book a 5/10.
And yes, I am still reading the other books: Without Fail - Lee Child, The Panic Years - Nell Frizzell, and Life Admin Hacks (I will finish it soon, I swear, haha). I've also got to buy a book my physio recommended, and she's given me a lot of things to do/buy; it's getting expensive.
What's on your TBR list right now? Let me know in the comments.
Ash xoxo
