Hi friends! Happy FRI-YAY! I thought we could have a bit of fun with this week's Freaky Friday Files and discuss some signs that your house may be haunted. I also want to mention that it may also be carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning, so I'll add some tips for that as well.

Signs Your House is Haunted (or maybe it's CO poisoning)
First, I want to talk about carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning because it would be irresponsible of me not to. If you have been experiencing any of the following symptoms or have been having more headaches/dizziness/nausea than usual, I recommend getting a carbon monoxide detector. You can purchase them on Amazon for a very low price. "Here's one for $19.99 AUD." You can also read what the Mayo Clinic says about it "here."
Your pets may act stranger than normal, i.e., they might be alerted to a noise or presence that you are unaware of. It always freaks me out at night when Benji randomly starts barking at nothing, and I can't see anything there or outside.
You feel like you're being watched.
You hear strange noises such as random knocks, footsteps, or floorboards creaking - or maybe you live in a really old house.
You have an overwhelming fear of dread (or just an undiagnosed anxiety disorder). Sorry, I can't help but be sassy AF sometimes.
There are electrical glitches like lights flickering, computers freezing, TVs turning themselves off and on randomly, or batteries draining super fast.
You start to smell odd smells here and there. Smells like cigars and perfume, specifically.
You find random coins around the house - some paranormal experts believe that if you find coins randomly, then one of your ancestors may be trying to get in contact with you.
You wake up at "witching hour" - aka 3 AM.
Your house has more cold spots or areas where the temperature changes drastically.
Items in your house are being moved around, or they disappear altogether. Or, they are moving by themselves in front of your eyes.
You have very weird dreams - like fever dreams.
You see things from the corner of your eye.
If you have children, they may have imaginary friends who could be concerning. However, it's important to note that kids having imaginary friends is also part of normal childhood development.
I want to stress again that if any of this is happening, make sure to get a CO detector or even a gas leak detector as the first point of call. If you are still having issues and think your house is haunted, maybe call an expert. And if all else fails, you can follow Teen Vogue's 7 steps on how to get rid of a ghost below:
Ghost the ghosts - i.e., tell them to leave and that they're not welcome in your home.
Cleanse your living space with lavender and do a deep clean detox. I'm sure Sage would also work here.
Protect yourself with a black tourmaline stone.
Use salt - pour salt along the doorways and a circle outside your home for protection.
Be positive - light white candles to help purify the area.
Make your dreams better by circling your finger in the air.
Get help from a professional.

This reminds me of a time when my sister told me about an experience she had in a house she used to live in. One day, she went downstairs and saw men sitting at the table, playing cards. The strange part was, they weren’t real; it was like an illusion or a vision. It only happened once, but it really made me wonder about that house. It definitely spooked me.
