Hello lovelies! I have been having some difficulties with my physical health recently, like a terrible head cold, back pain issues, and insomnia, so I've been watching more TV than I usually do, and this has led me to discover some great TV shows that I wanted to share with ya'll.

TV Shows I've Been Enjoying Lately
Severance (2022 - ) (we ALL knew this would be first, it's a fantastic piece of cinema and definitely deserves the amount of Emmy Nominations that it's got). You can catch S1 and S2 on AppleTV+. It's about a team of office workers who have had their minds surgically altered so that when they're at work, they don't remember their personal life, and when they're outside of work, they don't remember anything about their office life.
Morning Wars/The Morning Show (2019 - ) - I literally saw this advertised on a social media post for Entertainment Tonight and was like "whoa, cool cast" and I started watching it and I am HOOKED omfg. It's really heavy with some of the subject topics, but a great cast and great story. You can catch S1-S3 on AppleTV+, and I believe S4 is going to come out later this year, too. I'm not sure why some of the countries call it The Morning Show and others call it Morning Wars. Basically, it's about all the stuff that goes on behind the scenes of a media company that produces and runs The Morning Show.
The Studio (2025 - ) - A wonderful satirical comedy with Seth Rogen as the main character. It's about how business and art are struggling to work together in an increasingly focused capitalist business world. I liked it more than I thought I would. It got renewed for a 2nd season and is another show I found on AppleTV+. For someone who hasn't always been a fan of Apple, the quality of TV Shows on that streaming service is really good.
The Survivors (2025, Mini Series) - I wasn't sure how this one was going to go, but I binged it in a couple of days, and OMG, it was so good. It's about how 15 years ago, a small town in Tasmania was hit by a storm and took 3 young lives. It's a murder mystery, and I honestly had no clue until the very end of who committed the crimes, which usually isn't like me. It battles with themes of trauma, grief, and toxic masculinity, and it has a few Kiwi actors in there that I really enjoyed. It's available to watch on Netflix.
Ludwig (2024 - ) - OMG, both Luke and I watched this and we loved it. It's about how a reclusive puzzle setter, John "Ludwig" Taylor, has to solve the disappearance of his twin brother, and he impersonates his twin's identity as DCI Taylor in a major crime squad. I really enjoyed David Mitchell in this one. We watched it on 7+ in Australia, and I think it might also be on AppleTV+ and BritBox.
Digman! (2023 -) - Luke suggested we watch this cartoon, where archaeologists are seen as the biggest celebrities in the world. It's pretty funny. S1 is on Paramount+.
Saturday Night Live (1975 - ) - I feel like I'm REALLY late to the party with SNL, but I just watched the latest season (S50) and fell in love with it. It's sooo funny and I was surprised how left it leans. I thought it would have been more right-wing, but I am glad I was wrong. Luke said to me that the more f*cked the world is, the better the satire is haha. If you don't know what SNL is, it's a sketch comedy show that makes fun of whatever is going on in the world that week. I watched S50 on Binge. There's not really any trailers for SNL but enjoy Sabrina Carpenter doing the off-key espresso.
Once Upon a True Crime (2022, Mini Series) - I don't watch as much true crime as I used to and last week I wanted to learn about true crime to see if I could get any inspo for my Freaky Friday Files (spoiler alert: I didn't) and I just ended up enjoying watching the show. Once Upon a True Crime is a TV mini-series, where they get crime authors to go in and investigate deeper some of the crimes their books have been inspired by. It was very sad but also quite interesting as to some of the things they ended up uncovering. I watched this on Amazon Prime (damn, we have a lot of streaming services).
Reacher (2022 - ) - I love the books and I love the show. I'm trying to get through all the books in the series, but I think I'm at like number 6 maybe? Anyway, the show is about Jack Reacher, who is a former military policeman who goes on all sorts of crazy adventures.
Tracker (2024 - ) - I find Tracker similar to Reacher, but it's also really good. I don't know which one is better, but maybe Tracker is easier to relate to because he doesn't have the same background as a guy like Reacher, and he knows he needs a team to help him. Basically, Tracker is a guy called Colter Shaw whose job is to locate missing persons and help solve crimes. S1 and S2 are on Disney+.
Daredevil: Born Again (2025 - ) - Matt Murdock is back, and I'm really happy they brought Daredevil back. I hope we get to see some of The Defenders in the second half of the season. I watched this on Disney+ and I think we have to wait till 2026 for the next part of it, omg that's so long to wait.
The Recruit (2022 - 2025) - I'm so sad they cancelled this show, I really liked it. A CIA lawyer by the name of Owen Hendricks gets mixed up in all sorts of trouble and it's just really interesting. Bring it back! I think it didn't have enough hype compared to similar shows! S1 and S2 are on Netflix.
Some of these I've watched recently, and others I watched earlier this year! Some more shows I'd like to watch soon are The Sandman (S2), Wednesday (S2), The Residence, The Rookie, Dexter: Resurrection, The Night Agent, and Black Mirror (S7).
Maybe I'm behind hahaha?
What shows are you watching this year? Let me know in the comments below.
