Hi friends! There's a cute Instagram trend going around where we make posts about our 2026 ins & outs for the year. This blog post is dedicated to expanding on that trend (I made my Pinterest Pins/IG posts on Canva.

These are my 2026 Ins and Outs!

Hope you enjoy :D

My 2026 Ins & Outs

My 2026 Ins

  • Embracing my curly hair. I'm trying to let the curls come back naturally, but sometimes I will put my hair in plaits and then add extra curls so it doesn't look like bedhead hair LOL.

  • Simple skin care routines. We don't need heaps of skin care products, just the basics. I am loving using sheet masks, moisturiser, and a vitamin E toner.

  • Not caring what others think of me.

  • Reading (both ebooks and physical copies). Reading makes you smarter and helps with writing in general.

  • Solo dates. I want to take myself to more places, like going to the Zoo by myself or going into the CBD for a photo day.

  • Not caring what others think of me.

  • Eating more fruit, especially kiwifruit.

  • Putting my health first.

  • Linen clothing. It's much more breathable and comfy.

  • Waking up early. Working on this one. So far, I've been waking up around 7 AM.

  • Getting my steps in.

  • Listening to more music.

  • Celebrating small wins.

  • Posting more on Substack.

  • Matcha & Turmeric Lattes.

  • Ocean swims and sunsets.

  • Setting clear boundaries.

  • Mindfulness.

  • Writing.

My 2026 Outs

  • Doom scrolling - sometimes I just stare at my phone, and nothing is going on. I try to find alternatives to socials like Flipboard and Substack (because they're reading-based).

  • Flat stomachs. I'm a woman, I have ovaries, my stomach shouldn't be flat LOL.

  • Poor sleep hygiene. I have been working on this one for a while. My psych says reading in bed is okay, but I'm not sure what my POTS physio is going to say.

  • Overthinking.

  • Too much takeaway. I think once a month is okay right now.

  • Negative self-talk.

  • Skinny jeans. So uncomfortable, why do we millennials like this look so much?

  • Unnecessary spending.

  • Letting anxiety dominate my life.

  • Generative AI that's not built for accessibility (AI sucks, but I can see where it could be helpful - the weird sh*t that's happening right now with it isn't normal).

  • Excusing bad behaviour. For example, "boys will be boys". Ew.

  • Billionaires.

  • Fascism.

  • Too many subscriptions (we're cutting back).

  • People pleasing.

  • Too much clutter.
