Hi friends! Happy Thursday!! I hope you're having a wonderful day. I came across this on my Facebook from like 2014, and I thought I'd share it here with you because it's lovely. I've changed a few things because my writing wasn't the best in 2014, as I had only just started uni. Enjoy my take on 12 ways to become a better you.

12 Ways To Become A Better You
Don't care about what others think of you. Ignore their comments. Walk away if you have to. Brush off the opinions of others. I also like to expand on this one to say what people think of us isn't really our business anyway, so just live your life without worrying about it.
If you like someone, wait a little bit instead of rushing into things. I also think it's important to tell people you love them, even if it's platonic. When I moved from CHCH to Melbourne, both my parents started saying it a lot more, and I'd probably only hear it every couple of years when I lived at home.
Find something to believe in. It doesn't have to be religion. It could even just be yourself. I like to think that some people have a higher power, that's a tree.
Try new things. Do some arts and crafts, find new music, and talk to strangers.
Make at least one goal. Figure out creative and reasonable ways to reach it.
Be healthy, eat right, but allow yourself the treats when you desire. As Luke says, "food is for fuel and for funsies".
Be open-minded to new things and don't just say no to everything, even if it does sound outrageous. I definitely need to take this advice when we go to Vancouver.
Go out of your way to make someone's day. Compliment them, hold the door open, smile at everyone, whether they're looking at you or not. Help out other people when they need help and don't expect anything in return. Don't worry, the karma will come back to you - most likely in an unexpected way.
Stop saying you're "awkward." You're not awkward. You just have a different way of speaking to people and showing emotion (hahahaha, I think I wrote this for myself).
Be humble and find peace with everyone and everything.
Love yourself and find the confidence that you're hiding. Wear what you want, be daring. Be you.
Remember that not everything is your fault.
Thanks for reading!
