Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a new sort of series on the blog here known as gratitude diaries - sometimes I do Thankful Thursdays but I wanted to get a bit more specific, so welcome to "Things I Am Grateful For About Spring".

Gratitude Diaries 1: Things I Am Grateful For About Spring

1) The fact that it's not too hot and not too cold

I have issues with temperature regulation, so spring is my preferred temperature.

Cherry blossoms on a branch against a blurred sky, featuring pink and white petals. Soft, serene, springtime mood.

2) Cherry Blossoms (even Benji loves them)

They're so pretty!

Corgi held up playfully in front of blooming cherry blossoms. The dog has its tongue out, and the background is a clear blue sky.

3) The days are getting longer

Sometimes dark days can contribute to feeling down, so the closer it gets to longer days and daylight savings, the happier I become.

Palm trees silhouetted against a vibrant orange sunset over the ocean, with fluffy clouds and a calm, reflective water surface.

4) Going out to the pub for an afternoon/early evening bevvy

And no, it doesn't have to be alcoholic. I just enjoy being in the fresh air, hanging out with mates, and drinking something refreshing. Melbourne has so many great pubs. This is an old pic from The Boatbuilders Yard in South Wharf.

Woman with glasses in a blue floral blouse smiles at a table outdoors, holding a yellow drink with a striped straw. Lush greenery in background.

5) So MANY colourful flowers

Vibrant purple daisies bloom amid lush green leaves, creating a lively, colorful atmosphere. No text present.

6) More fruits are in season, and the prices are dropping

I love fruit, especially berries.

7) Seeing more animals out and about - especially birds!

This is an Eastern Rosella, and they are so hard to get a good photo of!

Colorful parrot with red, yellow, and blue feathers perches on a log. Green foliage in the background adds a natural setting.

8) People seem happier in general

9) The washing dries faster

Woman in blue dress and hat sits in field, facing mountains. Laundry hangs on line. Clear sky, calm and peaceful mood.

10) There is more sunshine

Person with a backpack walks through a sunlit forest with leafy green ferns and tall trees, evoking a peaceful, adventurous mood.

11) Not having to carry a jacket everywhere (or just taking a light jacket like a denim jacket)

Except when the rain radar is like "it might rain later".

Blonde woman with a black backpack stands before a building with blooming pink cherry blossoms. Overcast sky, contemplative mood.

12) Ducklings

Pile of yellow rubber ducks with orange beaks and black eyes, creating a playful and cheerful ocean of toys.

What are some things you are thankful for about spring? Let me know in the comments below.
