I decided to join Patreon so I could follow one of my favourite creators HannahTheHorrible, and also made my own one, but I don't think I have enough audience to post anything on there yet HAHA. But it's an interesting app to use.
We have been looking after Frankie most Thursdays and Fridays to help Luke's brother while their parents are away in Europe.
We attended one of our friend's weddings (a traditional Indian one), so there was a Sangeet, a Ceremony, and a Reception that we went to. I loved how colourful everything was, and it shows how boring Western weddings are.
We saw some friends from NZ who had come over for the wedding!
The election was held for Australia and tbh, it's good that Albo got in again but it's not good that the greens lost a few seats.
We ordered some canvas prints to brighten up the house (now we've got a giant photo of Benji on the wall).
I've been struggling with mental health, REALLY bad this month, and also lots of chronic flares with IBS and things like that (fatigue has been through the roof). It has made me want to just seclude myself from the world.
EMDR therapy is going well; it's a bit strange, but I think it's going to take a long time to get through everything. It's probably one of the reasons why I've been feeling so cr*ppy lately.
A few of my friends in NZ had their birthdays, so I hope they all had very special days.
It was my Nana's anniversary of her passing, and I accidentally missed it (sorry, mum).
I had a dentist check-up and all my teeth are looking good, but I did have to get one filling fixed as it chipped off. Hopefully, my next check-up will show everything as being all good. I do not want to go through anything like a root canal again. Last year was awful.
One of my uni mates published her PhD into a book and had a book launch on the 22nd of May at Scorpio Books, which I thought was pretty cool.
Luke has been keeping up with his running and has had a few cricket committee meetings. He also changed teams at his workplace so he's a bit busier than he has been.

I got my haircut, and I've been struggling with a lot of scalp psoriasis. It hasn't been this bad before, but Luke suggested it could be a flare due to the EMDR because my nervous system might be all out of whack. Luke's also got a haircut on Saturday morning.
I made Curious George Ice Cream and Strawberry Ice Cream - apparently the strawberry ice cream was very good according to Luke. I've definitely found a new obsession.
The YouTube videos I put out are as follows: Daylesford Travel Vlog // Conspiracy Theories That Haunt My Brain At 2AM // The Poe Toaster //
The Freaky Friday Files I put out are as follows: Death of Max Spiers // Tent Girl // The Poe Toaster // The Oak Island Mystery //
The books I have read are as follows:
1. Every Little Breath - Keri Beevis 2. The Memory Police - Yoko Ogawa 3. Never Let Me Go - Kazuo Ishiguro 4. Lights Out - Navessa Allen You can read my May book reviews "here".
TV Shows that Luke and I have been watching are pretty much the same as last month, but a few more - MasterChef AU, Travel Guides, Have You Been Paying Attention? Claire Hooper's House of Games, Taskmaster Australia, The Cheap Seats, and we just started Ludwig, so I'm excited to see where that show goes.
I haven't really been watching much TV by myself lately, but I finished The Studio on AppleTV+, and I have also been trying to get back into the new Futurama. I watched ALL of the old stuff, but I haven't been able to binge-watch the new season (well, the 2024 season). I have been watching a lot of random sh*t on YouTube though. I did just get an email that Disney+ has the last few Tracker episodes so I definitely need to catch up on those.
We went a week without wifi, so we had to get a new modem, and so far so good. It's really annoying when you have to hotspot to do stuff.
I'm trying to drink more probiotic-based drinks like Yakult and kombucha to help my IBS.
We were supposed to get Detector Inspector come and check our smoke alarms today but they cancelled this morning as someone was off and we don't know when they'll next be in the area but hopefully soon because I think they gotta check them every 6 months.
We found a Ginger Slice from Woolies (although it was made with oats, so it tasted strange to me). Thanks to my Kiwi friend who told us where to get it, who lives in NSW.
Benji has hurt his little leg where he's got a bad hip so he's been taking it a bit easy the last few weeks. We think he pulled it at obedience school from too many "go backs," so we haven't really been taking him to school since then, as I don't think the mud and cold are good for his little body. But in other news, we finally found him a harness that he likes to wear and got a few other cute accessories for him. He's also very good at taking his daily joint supplements. We might be able to look at hydrotherapy but should ask the vet first.
The weather in Melbourne is starting to get very cold now so my puffer jacket has appeared from the depths of my wardrobe LOL.
I ordered from KallMeKris and Oompaville's candy store - Sour Boys - they are nice but I think we expected the flavour to be more intense.
It feels like a bit of a boring month, and I think the next few ones are going to be with it being winter, but things I'm looking forward to in June are: Luke's 29th birthday, Spicks and Specks starting up again (the TV show), and hopefully getting back into a better routine as long as my health decides to play ball.
Thanks for reading!
Ash x
